Going, going, gone

Collected Gk for lunch today as I was off from school...and this is what met me as I battled through the traffic!!

Taken from her office, its not just a mini dust storm but a major sand storm in the making. It became progressively darker and thicker as the day moved on! No wonder camels are made the way they are in order to survive these out there in the desert wastes. They have a transparent eye lid and nose flaps that come into play when storms rage so they can breathe easy and still see where they're going!

Having seen the big red dune on Friday as we travelled down to Hatta....I did wonder if it had followed us and plonked itself in the middle of the Trade Centre roundabout amidst all the lush vegetation.

We also hoped for some rain to accompany the strong wind and dark clouds but it passed us by yet again. Maybe tomorrow!

I did intend to wash my car this morning.....give it a well deserved bubble bath....but that too has had to be shelved until calmer and clearer days re-appear.

It has been a good indoor day though....quiet yet industrious....ready for the start of a brand new venture tomorrow.
