Can it get any more colourful?

It was a dull, cold late afternoon walk in the valley once the sun vanished over Wendover Woods at about 3.30. I watched two Roe Deer intent on grazing for as long as they possibly could as the temperature plumetted. They were too far away to get a good photo and I was despairing as the light began to fade when I came across this wonderful sight at the edge of a clearing. A string of White Bryony berries, like Christmas decorations, with the glowing yellow leaves of Field Maple behind. Some years the colours we get in our native trees at this time are just astounding.
