Swans at Catons Bay

Another glorious evening down by the lakeside, this time however it's not Lake Ellesmere/Te Waihora but Lake Forsyth /Te Roto o Wairewa.

Like its larger neighbour, Forsyth has lots of swans too....

There's been a lot of recent development at Catons Bay. The Rod Donald Banks Peninsula Trust has been replanting native and removing invasive pest plants around the picnic area. It seems that the birdlife is appreciating it judging by the numbers of waterfowl.
