I'm lucky enough to play in a band that gigs on a fairly regular basis. The whole band-thing started when we moved and I decided to make an effort to start playing again. The band was formed, we started to sound reasonable and then a friend asked if we would play at her 40th. "uuuuh, we're a bit noisy" "no problem, just what I'm looking for".

Fast forward 4 years and we still do a fair number of 40ths. This time, however, the birthday boy revealed that he'd not only played in a band but that his ex-band mates were at the party. So we did what any band would do: press ganged them into doing a couple of numbers :) They were great!

An excellent night all round and great fun.
