They win for enthusiasm!

I always enjoy the manner in which people express their excitement over the upcoming holidays.

Most don't usually begin so early; this has been up since November 11th. And not usually so enthusiastically! But these people have been adding to their display every year for at least 10 years and this year is no exception. They have added the 2 Mickey Mouses (Mickey Mice?) and whatever that is on the roof. I wonder if they do it for their children or if they do it out of the sheer love of celebrating?

The people across the street from them have followed suit in the, seemingly to me, early department by bedecking their large home and grounds out in large white lights. Not fairy lights, or what I think of as fairy lights, but rather in lights you might see on a car lot. Despite my description it is rather pretty when you squint and if you shake your head you can pretend it's snow. Not very convincingly truly, but it's a beginning.
