Cute Pup

Grey and great!!! What a morning bobbing about in a boat watching the seal colony basking on the shingle beach. The right time of year for the tiniest and cutest little seal pups ever!

Unfortunately there was a cloud burst and then drizzle but even getting soaked through wasn't really a problem as it was an unbelievable experience; lovely to see these fantastic, inquisitive animals especially when being able to watch then at such close quarters.

Blakeney Point, looked after by the National Trust is a huge breeding ground for the common seals in the summer, the grey seals in the autumn/winter as well as for many rare and wonderful water birds.

Back to the windmill tonight and no doubt to experiment with some night shots - that is if it stops raining!!! re-typing this now as the internet connection in the mill is dire - the walls are so thick and substantial that wi-fi hasn't a chance so we've had to go out yet again (oh dear!) to a local pub. :))
