Penguins at Volunteer Point

One of the highlights of any visit to the Falklands is the trip from Stanley to Volunteer Point, which includes an hour or two off-road through the diddle-dee and the risk of getting bogged ! However, we were in expert hands and arrived just as the sun was breaking through. There are about 1000 pairs of King Penguins here, which we watched for a few hours, before returning. This is of course a small fraction of the numbers on any beach in South Georgia !
