Chinese Lanterns

I was driving through Berkswell this morning when I spotted these lovely plants growing in someone's front garden. I couldn't stop straight away as I had a Chelsea Tractor right on my bumper, so I drove on for a bit, then turned around and went back to blip them. The Physalis alkekengi or Chinese lantern, is easily identifiable by its bright orange to red papery covering over its fruit, which resemble paper lanterns. I thought they made a lovely colourful blip for this otherwise grey day.
