Eye Test

I gave my glasses their annual clean this morning as I'm off to have my annual eye test and diabetic retinopathy scan. I had these glasses about 10 years ago to wear when my eyes got tired or when I was doing a lot of work in front of my computer screen. I've probably worn them no more than 10 times since. But every year I polish them off to take with me to my eye test. The drops I have to have put in to dilate my pupils mean that I shall be sitting in a darkened room for most of the afternoon as they seem to take about 4 hours to wear off in my case. I know as I get older my luck can't last forever though, so I wonder if this will be the year that I'll need a new prescription pair of glasses...
