Seeds at the ready

Another of the wonderful types of seedhead to be found in the garden at this time of year. If you shake these Poppy heads the seeds can be heard rattling inside. As you can see, the tops of the seedhead walls are now rotting away, making slits that will allow the seeds to fall out with any violent movement in high winds. However, as I know where I want these poppies to spread, I think it will be me doing the shaking over the next few days
