another day, another lake

Family day out to Horsham museum to see their unofficial display of Dr Who comic strips. There was a full size dalek and K9 too.

The lake was a happy find on the way to Horsham. We stopped at Southwater Country Park. A series of three lakes, the largest with a tarmac path all around and plenty of poo bins. There was a fantastic children's play area, which the kids declined, and a cafe serving a full English breakfast for a fiver. Yum. We were going to eat outside with the dogs but the benches were metal and somewhat chilly on the derrière. In the car for them and an inside table with a view of playful swans for us.

Good day out, two walks, lunch, a bit of education mixed with fun :)
