Fir Cones.

I was trying to get a picture of a magpie, but it kept flying off onto another branch. It is in this tree somewhere, but I didn't have time this morning to hang about and wait for it to reappear. When my children were young we had many happy times collecting the fir cones to make Christmas decorations. It was forecast to be sunny all day, but by the afternoon it was cloudy again.
