Possibly the best

You couldn’t make it up.

After lying empty for over a decade, the Torry Fish Shop in has now been demolished.
After catching fire a good few years ago it had seemingly became a mecca for those Aberdonians intent on sampling fortified wine and the inhaling of various illegal substances.
Torry Community Council secretary Mr David Fryer was relieved to see it torn down and Councillor Kiddie described the building as an eyesore and a drinking den which had the potential to attract vermin.
Grampian Fire and Rescue Services station manager Mike Cordiner says “The fact that the building is no longer there means that it no longer poses a fire risk.”
Strong words indeed.
