Life of a bubble maker

Woke up late today after staying up late catching up with curly last night.
Curly had a booked to get his haircut in Shoreditch this morning before we could head into London. Nice bacon sandwich and a coffee while the haircut was going on.

Next stop was the Mont Blanc shop near Bank. My pocket watch needed a new battery and the big hand had just fallen off J's watch. Seems that with the Christmas break it could be up to 8 weeks before we get them back. Dread to think how much the repair is going to be.

Next stop was the whisky society for lunch and to choose another bottle of whisky to replace the one City Link didn't deliver. Must admit we were well looked after. Must have had around 10 samples to choose a bottle of Longmorn to replace the Ardbeg. Nice lamb burger for lunch as well.

From there it was over the Natural History Museum via the V&A. Had tickets for the Wildlife Photography of the Year exhibition. Something we try to do each year. Great exhibition but didn't agree with the winner.

Needed a photo for this months challenge on the theme of interia. Also one of uniform for the weekly challenge. Managed to get in the middle of the entrance hall so the arches are perfectly uniform on both sides of the room, all pivoting about the statue of Darwin. This will be my entry for the monthly challenge but not sure about the weekly one.

After this it was over to Oblix resturant half way up the Shard. Nice to catch up with AD and his partner and have a fantastic meal of steak. Tried soft shell crab for the first time. Wasn't expecting to have to eat the entire crab. Took a bit of mental effort to get over eating legs.
Shared a glass of Ardbeg Galleilo, very nice.
Great end to the day.
