Chinese New Year in São Paulo

In São Paulo's Chinatown (called Liberdade) Chinese New Year is commemorated with much enthusiasm. São Paulo has a big population of oriental people, such as Japanese, Chinese, and Korean people first, second or later generations.

In the weekend or public holidays there is a small fair at Praça da Liberdade and you can buy oriental food at one of the stalls or in one of the many Chinese / Japanese restaurants.
Furthermore one can get Chinese/Korean or Japanese gadgets and electronics at reduced prices.

The food is great !
