Chinatown in São Paulo

São Paulo's Chinatown is located in the quarter of Liberdade, and you can find a lot of Oriental shops, restaurants, and street vendors.
Chinese pottery and porcelain figurines have often a symbolic meaning and are used in homes to venerate one or more Buddhist deities.
In Liberdade you can find Koreans, Chinese and Japanese people and organizations. Koreans are specialized in clothing, bags and electronics, Chinese in mass produced plastic goods and low-end electronics, the Japanese in high-end electronics. Once a month I go to Liberdade in the weekend to stroll along the stands, and to have a real oriental lunch.
