Autumn At Amber Nook

We had a few jobs to do at the holiday lodge before the winter sets in. There were 3 conifers to plant before the ground gets frozen or before they suffer through being left in pots.

Apparently, pot grown plants suffer outdoors in winter, not because they are damaged by the coldness, but that their roots have no access to the water which has formed ice in the soil.

The garden gets absolutely covered in leaves at this time of year, mainly beech and sycamore. The annoying thing is, we have no deciduous trees on the property!
