Nightfall, Akaroa Harbour

On a still and mild summer's evening, I reckon there are few places that match up to the natural splendour of the view over Akaroa Harbour and the outer bays and hills of Banks Peninsula.

This is shot from the Pettigrews Road end of the summit road, looking down on Barry's Bay and Devauchelle.

If you look carefully, you'll see the a car's lights snaking their way down the highway from Hilltop. The stars are just starting to peak through as the sun dives down below the horizon.

This one's definitely worth a closer look I reckon...
