Air and Water Play

I stopped off at Marine Park after errands in Fairhaven this afternoon, and enjoyed trying to photograph a group of sea gulls and crows harassing a bald eagle (the large bird at the top of the image). The eagle seemed to consider the activity as sport, although it did have its legs down and talons out in case one of the harassers came within striking distance.

When two men in a small, fast boat suddenly appeared in the bay, I had an interesting waterborne subject on which to practice tracking fast action, as well. They clearly relished plunging up and down in the windblown waves and generating lots of spray -- not my idea of fun on a day with temperatures hovering at the freezing point and a fair amount of wind!
