Wakey Wakey!!!

Well the household was thrown into chaos this morning when three magnificent Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos appeared. I raced downstairs to get the camera and then back upstairs again to try and get a good vantage point and to my absolute amazement this magnificent creature was standing on the deck trying to wake this very unmoveable wombat. Can't it read, it clearly says "Still Life" on the little wombats feet!

Honestly you can't describe how fantastic it is to see these beautiful birds close up, particularly when they launch themselves into the air, it's truly wonderful.
Amidst the chaos I was trying to stay calm (really!!!!!) couldn't focus the camera, had it on video mode for an instant, the zoom wouldn't work and the tripod wouldn't stay steady. It's very stressful all of this :-)
