It's in the bag!!

CCN and I had a lovely catch up with two good friends this afternoon. Denise and Joe Holmes live in the beautiful Hartley Valley and moved to the valley from Capel in Western Australia when they retired, just over two years ago. Denise is one of the most creative people you will ever meet and has been making these wonderfully colourful bags in aid of the Interplast organisation for over two years now. The proceeds from her bags have meant that many young children and adults living in the Asia Pacific region are able to have vital plastic surgery when the Interplast surgeons visit their country. We are so proud of her efforts can't help spending a few dollars every time we see her fantastic creations.

For 30 years, Interplast has worked in 25 countries and implemented over 600 surgical and allied health medical program activities across the Asia Pacific region. They provide free reconstructive surgery for patients who would otherwise not be able to afford access to such services and empower local medical personnel by building their capacity to act independently. They've supported over 70 surgeons and nurses to continue part of their training in Australia, sent over 600 volunteers on medical programs, provided over 37,000 consultations and performed over 21,000 life-changing operations. They are a truly amazing organisation.
