Plum rum jam production

Cane back from France in August with several kilograms of wild sweet plums in two five litre bottles filled with rum and wine. Four months later we have harvested a plum liquor and are now 'brewing' (best word for it) jam. Can't believe we were walking in 35c heat picking these in the eve of an icy arctic blast tomorrow. But nothing better than a warm stove and bubbling jam.
