"He's got a mind of his own"

Ken and Jake were at the vet's. Jake is 11 and has a heart problem.
He's very territorial and won't let anyone in the Ken's car without Ken being there.
I asked if Jake was a breed or a mixture.
Well, said Ken, you wouldn't believe it but the rest of the litter were all Jack Russells.
Jake's more like a Patterdale.

Ken said Jake has got a mind of his own but I suspect Jake might say the same of Ken.

(I juxtaposed the two images because, although you can't do it, when I flick from one to the other it appears as if Ken and Jake are exchanging a knowing glance.)
