Progress

Down-sizing's hard.
Now I look
at this fresh
bare room

with new curtains
new carpet
fresh paintwork
and soon

there'll be furniture
people
clutter and
barely room

to swing a cat
which in our case
we have not got
(as Henry Reed might say)

but anyway
it seems a shame (almost)
that it can't stay
like this:

empty
pristine
and so easy
to clean.

Talk about quarts into pint-pots...! But I suppose it is an incentive to stick with the clutter clearance! And it does smell nice, too. (Oh, and we need to peel off the protective wrapping from the curtain pole, then the curtains will slide more evenly.)
