Urban Sunrise

Last night looking out of the back door I was greeted by a sky full of stars behind the oak tree This morning the same view had a lovely rosy glow with the rising sun.

Knowing how fleeting this light can be, I grabbed the camera, still set up on the tripod, and dashed out into the garden in my nightdress (I did stop for shoes and coat first!) to take some quick shots. By the time I returned indoors and dressed, the colour had gone, and the clouds were rolling in fast. So I'm glad I faced the cold first.
