Rare Rear End

Our SeniorNet Photo Group visited the O’Connors at Brooksdale today. We all took food for a festive “Pot Luck” lunch. Dawn looked after us all magnificently. Grace was said before our meal and we shared a one minute silence in memory of that great Statesman, Nelson Mandela who passed away earlier today. Rest in peace Nelson…your journey has ended here and your work well done.
The food was more than plentiful and one of our number played Santa Claus for a lucky Christmas dip. Then we were off around the grounds and gardens with our cameras. The Turkey in his run was camera shy. He would not turn to face us to show himself off in all his feathered glory. He turned his back on us and virtually ignored us. So it was a rare view of a rear end. He looks like he is missing a few feathers too. Dawn assured us that he is not for Christmas dinner as he would be far too tough and old for that purpose. Lucky turkey!
