The Yuma Proving Grounds are just to the northeast of the city of Yuma. It is one of the largest military installations in the western world.(over 2000 square miles) Yuma is situated in the hottest desert in North America. The Proving Grounds are ideal for training personnel and testing military equipment under difficult conditions. This cluster of tanks represent the development of tanks over several decades and are on display near the former Camp Laguna, a training facility for military troops during WWII.
