The tree chair

OK - I know, most chairs are made of wood, which comes from a tree, but this one's different.

This morning I had a commission to shoot some furniture by MJ cabinetmakers (I can't put a link here, because it's advertising) I love their stuff, and could never afford it! Shot a few chairs, then Matt asked if I could shoot his "tree chair"

This was carved (apart from the seat) from a solid tree trunk. It weighs a ton, looks amazing and is surprisingly comfortable. We shot it from all angles, but Matt wouldn't let me help him lift it as "if you drop this on your foot, you won't have any toes left"

Gail's Birthday today, so we had a really good dinner at the pub in Crosby Ravensworth, where they do such good food!
