Christmas at the Vaults

Out for a drink with my friend Ann at the Vaults, down in Leith. The Vaults is one of the Scottish Malt Whisky Society venues, and a favourite haunt of mine. It's lovely at Christmas with the huge tree and the roaring fire.

The Vaults is very cosy, a wood-panelled venue which reminds me of the gentlemen's clubs of the Victorian era. It's a total contrast to the other venue up in the New Town which is rather swish and brightly lit, but slightly clinical.
