" Christmas time,Mistleto and Wine, children sing"

Today Phoebe, Mr A and myself were in Winchester to visit Redflash, my sister, Murphy and Mr F. We had quite a long drive (2.5 hours) through busy traffic. Because we had travelled in 'the beast', Phoebe sat in the front on Mr A's lap, and for the first time seemed quite stressed. Perhaps she knew where we were going?!!

We had quite a raptuous greeting from Murphy who obviously thought that Phoebe was his early Christmas present and before we had been in the door more than 5 minutes, decided he would practice his masculine skills on her. As you can imagine, being a Lady, she refused his advances. After all, they hadn't even shared a bone together. His mother had obviously not told him that you cant go ******** on your first date.

So there togetherness didn't get off to a good start and he was fairly persistent in his advances.

The above is a capture of the spirit of the Christmas Market held in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral. It was a lovely atmosphere, with roasted chestnuts, Gluhwein (Mr Schorschi would have felt at home), and lots of lovely goodies to tempt one to spend loads of dosh. Phoebe loved it, meeting everyone and dancing on her back legs to get attention. What a tart.

We had a superb meal with Redflash and Mr F, whose birthday is next week and partly why we came to visit, but all too soon we had to come back to soggy Stogumber.

A tiring day, but enjoyable. Never underestimate how important our family are. They are precious, time is too short, and we should all make the most of each other while we can.

Hoping you've all enjoyed a good Saturday and hoping for a continuation throughout tomorrow. We will be seeing Matthew and possibly Adrian tomorrow, the usual!

Sending hugs to you all. Live in peace with one another, please......... XX
