a little bit of rhubarb

Well, today had so much promise, blip-wise, but in the end I came home with nada!

It *should* have been filled with people decked out in Dr Who outfits, to celebrate the 50th anniversary. To quell any pedants out there who want to point out that the 50th was actually the 23rd, a small issue of time zones meant that Australia's live streaming of the 50th was at 6.50am, and who in their right mind is going to get out of bed at that hour on a Sunday morning to watch? (yes, ok Mel, I know you did).

Rocked up to the 10am cinema screening expecting to see throngs of people a la Who... only to be disappointed as there was little aside from the odd Tardis frock and Whovian t shirt.

Another scramble after that, to get to the quay for version 2 of the National Theatre's Frankenstein (Miller as Creature and Cumberbatch as Frankenstein). Sorry Jonny, you did a good job but Benedict does a better Creature, hands down...
