Gently down the stream

By Miranda1008

Spring in December

Went for a short walk on Winnall Moors this morning. As soon as I got onto the reserve, I was struck by the light on the plant husks. This is a row of dried michaelmas daisies and seeded willowherb and behind them on the other side of a small stream, a rather scrubby willow tree and acres of reeds. Somehow the sun - and especially in mono - seemed to bring them back to life again, so this had to be my blip.

Apart from that it's a quiet day, though I'm hoping to speak to my son who flew back from South Africa yesterday, where he's been working the last 3 weeks. Well, he will have seen just a little of a very special piece of history.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx
