The Heron and the white water

Today's the day ........................ to take shelter

Not a day to be outside today.

It was still bucketing with rain and I quickly got soaked on my walk along the banks of the River Kent near Sedgwick. There was lots of water in the river too - with white frothy torrents cascading over the waterfalls at a rate of knots.

This heron looked pretty fed up and had taken himself out of the rain under a rocky ledge. He half-heartedly pretended that he was waiting there with a purpose - to catch some fish maybe.

Come to think of it - they were probably the only creatures that were getting any enjoyment out of the day ..........................
