Christingle

A lovely family time at the Christingle service this afternoon :-)

C liked the raisins and marshmallows on the christingle and the part of the service where all the candles were lit and we sang Away in a Manger was quite beautiful. I felt that Christmas feeling in the air that you start to sense as we get into December - a bit of Christmas magic about the real reason we're celebrating.

We decorated the tree this morning - C was able to help for the first time, with the lights and baubles, it looks pretty good and v festive. Photo to follow at some point ...

Tonight was my choir's Christmas concert - a mulled cocktail of Christmas music, violin, organ, soloists and finishing with a rousing rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas with each side of the audience competing with each other, think they had been fuelled by the interval mulled wine!!
