Flood

This was near the Cabbagetown area on my way home today - looked like about four feet deep in the middle.

There were similar scenes all over the city, as three days of torrential rain flooded streets, highways, and entire neighborhoods. Some people had to be rescued from their homes in boats.

I live downtown, which is on a bit of a hill, I guess, so it wasn't that bad here. But a co-worker's normally one-hour drive home turned into a four-hour ordeal, thanks to the flooded streets and hellish traffic.

Last year - unprecedented drought.

This year - unprecedented flooding.

Go figure.
