Today's pickings

Walked to the top of the Sugar Loaf with friends Beth and Rebecca today. Great walk, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.

On the way home I picked some rosehips - encouraged by the talk I heard at the Food Fair yesterday - and am going to cook them up for syrup and make a sweet risotto for supper.

The other things are oca, which I dug today from the veg garden. Reli of the potato. Read about them here. Interesting, but not a brilliant crop and I'm really not convinced they're worth the trouble. Having said that, what trouble did I go to?!!
