The things you learn 1: Those dainty pint sized squeeze bottles of ketchup that you see on the counter of your neighbourhood burger van are not filled with home made pureed sun dried tomatoes. They are actually topped up from industrial sized jerry cans of coloured gloop. Well I never. And it takes concentration not to spill it when you have got people watching, hoping to pick up some culinary tips. Heston should be worried by the competition snapping at his heals.

The things you learn 2: This stall is called "the Old English Hotdog". And there was me thinking that King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table were eating venison. That Henry the VIII was tossing chicken legs over his shoulder in the great Hall at Hampton Court Palace. That Robin Hood and his merry band were eating trout tickled from the nearby stream. But No! All the time they were munching on the celebrated Olde Englishe Hot Dog.

Would you Adam and Eve it?!
