Double Spiral

It started out as a close up of the heart of a deep red cut rose, then it got cropped closer to the centre. It still didn't look right and I thought that the red was too intense for the soft curves. So, in Lightroom, I did a partial desaturation of the red, then used a curves adjustment to lighten the whole shot. What I got was what you see here. It's a sort of high key effect of the centre of the rose that works better with the soft shapes of the curves ... I think.
