NOISY ......

....MINOR to be exact!

The Noisy Miner is a bold and curious bird. It is identified by its mostly grey body and black crown and cheeks. The bill is yellow, as are the legs and the naked skin behind the eye. The name is well suited as the common calls are uttered repeatedly by the members of the colony. Info from Birds in Backyard, if you have a look on the right hand column on this site you can listen to the noisy call, hence it's name.

Sitting on our side gate, squawking at me while watering this morning, so have made it my blip for today. They with the Indian Minor are a problem to our native birds.

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE,while I head off to a Christmas function, cheers.
