It's no sooner afternoon than it's night!

Roll on the Winter Solstice! I went out to stretch my legs before consulting began at 4pm but it was already evening, the sun was setting, the light dwindling.

This is the South of England. I often miss Scotland, but I never did love the way that from November till March is almost perpetual night.

I didn't really want this fence to be a silhouette - but under the circumstances it was. Then it was just plain dark.
