Horseshoe Clump

This group of trees is known as the Horseshoe Clump - although I suspect the shape is only really apparent from the air. At this time of year the sun rises just to the left of it and traverses behind the tree line gradually getting higher. When I walked through there the sun had melted the frost on the topmost branches, as the water drops fell through the freezing fog they re-froze into tiny bits of hail.

Major mistake last night - I left the cold frame open all night so some of the sweet pea tops look a bit unhappy.
