on one foot only. Of course she awoke when I came nearer, but did not change her pose.
Rather early, while the sky was still grey, Piet Hein and I went to the beach.
Several persons went kayaking because they liked to float in the waves and at the same time it seemed hard work. One of them knocked sown several times but that dit not make the fun less, or so it seemed. We had a little conversation with the last man who went in and saw how complicated his clothes and gear were.
They had been kayaking in Africa on the Zambesi near the Victoria Falls this year too.
Only when we came home the sky turned into that wonderful blue.
I had to see the swan family in the afternoon, the young ones titter when they expect getting some food.

My haiku:

Little sentences
Pretty smiles and a mouthful
Of sweet speculaas

And the proverb:

Als het spel op zijn best is, moet men eindigen.

Translation: When the game is at its best, one should end it.
