Tiles Away!

Today was the day for Earl, our sub-contractor pictured above, to remove the old tiles from the kitchen. Larger view. That he did, plus a good portion of the living room too. What a job! What a lot of dust too, as I was warned -I do have things covered, thank you!

We are doing fine and they have gotten a ton of work done for just 2 days. Our contractor Fred is coming back tomorrow to frame the walls. He will cut away the top part of the wall you see here with the bare studs in the bottom photo, so that it opens up into the living room . . . . I can't wait!
