The Edge of the Wold

Sunbeams

The pre-dawn clouds didn't take on the vaguest hint of pink this morning, the conservation cows were nowhere to be seen, so Gus and I went down the hill to see whether the dancing tree was lit by sunlight. It wasn't, it was in deep shade against the brilliant sky, but the uplighting above the line of cloud was rather spectacular. This is a One Street blip, taken 300 yards up the road from the house.

Gus came on an adventure later, as A and I went to a meeting on the other side of Windermere, and Gus had his first ferry crossing of the lake. We went to see some bivalves living in tanks, a more interesting afternoon than perhaps it sounds.
