Window Garland

This Christmas decoration in the stairwell leading down to the bewitching Secret Garden of the Witchery Restaurant (near the entrance to Edinburgh Castle) caught my eye. Brilliant colours and design, and I loved the little Scottish soldier set in the centre. See large.

Wonderful meal and afterward went to see The Butler - an Oscar-winning film about a coloured butler who serves eight presidents during his tenure at the White House, involving events such as the civil rights movement, Vietnam, and right up to Obama. See Guardian review.
