Christmas in the Parliament

This has become an annual tradition - an old fashioned carol concert with appropriate Bible readings and the children from the Royal Mile Primary School helping out. Mince pies and mulled wine to follow (juice for the kids of course!) and a really joyful, festive spirit! We all get to belt out the best known carols to the accompaniment of a silver band plus there's a posh-ish choir to show us how it really should be done.

The photograph is technically rubbish - i have no idea how to handle the bizarre lighting in the parliament building - so I've tweaked it to make it look a bit better.

Merry Christmas from the Scottish Parliament!
