Baby mantis

I have been trying to find a preying mantis for a while, but none were to be seen until today – and this one is only 1cm long, so that's probably why I haven't seen any yet – they have only just emerged. I'm sure they will be big whoppers soon, with the abundance of flies, butterflies and bees to feast on. Except today – too hot (40ºC) for much insect activity (or human activity either).
