Giant Panda

'Hold it....while I spruce up for the camera!'

I had to stop to blip this rather gorgeous Belted Galloway heifer who at first glance rather reminded me of a giant panda. She has a double layered coat with soft wavy hair and a thick undercoat providing good protection in the winter. Black colouring with a slight brownish tinge and a white belt round the middle, it is more commonly known as a 'beltie' for obvious reasons. Naturally hornless or polled, it's a very gentle breed - rather good for me really as I knelt in front of it to take a few shots. If a breed can be cuddly then these are!!
