Meles x 10

That's approximately the age of this wonderful oak at Birnam. It was a day of walking around the trees and cathedral in Dunkeld, M does love a big tree, so she was particularly chuffed to spend part of her birthday with this oak and its neighbour, a sycamore of the same sort of size, but half the age.
I enjoyed the hillfort at the Kings' Seat (hence the name of Dunkeld: Hillfort of the Caledonians), the effigy on the tomb of the Wolf of Badenoch and the gravestone of the legendary fiddler, Neil Gow.
