Frankenbrioche

I can't remember the date exactly but was around this time. I thought that it might make a nice bread and butter pudding but didn't get around to making it so it sat on top of the fridge through the back. After a while it became a bit fascinating and then a bit horrifying. What is in there?

And here we are a year later and it's still there. Not a hint of mould. It looks perfect. I'm tempted to open it just to see if it will instantly turn to dust and blow away in a newly-arrived breeze, leaving only a ring behind.
